| If the thought of pink conjures up all things girly, frilly and sweet, think again. The emergence of rosé in the wine world is changing the way we think about and perceive pink wines. The best and fastest way to convince anyone that pink does not equal sweet is to simply taste our latest release - the 2006 Dry Rosé.
This blend, a heavenly match of 85% Cabernet Franc and 15% Chardonnay, creates a vivid and refreshing wine that is abundant with flavors of strawberry and ripe raspberry. The second vintage of this style of wine we’ve produced, we love to educate people about this wonderful ‘pink drink’ and why we’ll continue to make a dry rosé every year. Arguably one of the most food-friendly and versatile wines we produce, this wine pairs well with a wide variety of foods from fish to meat to vegetable-based dishes.
Rosé wines can range from pale and elegant to rich and fruity. The wide range of colors of rose’s come from the grape’s skin contact and how deep the color is depends on how much time that contact continues. Rosé is the perfect option for when you don’t feel like a heavy red and don’t want a white, but something right in between. In other words, rosé is like a middle man, satisfying you with the fuller structure of a red with the freshness and crispness of a white.
